We explore better tech use that fosters digital thriving, bright futures, and deep relationships

Unmitigated technology advances threaten to dampen the limitless potential of young people. We want to see education, design, and policy that approach technology as a tool to be used wisely and ethically for their benefit. Not exploiting them for profit.
Our Work
Collaborate
We create engaging live presentations, flexible digital discernment curriculum, and collaborate with young people to identify healthy and intentional uses of tech.
Challenge
We share our knowledge of apps and devices with tech companies and compel them to design tech with child digital wellness in mind.
Consult
We use our technical expertise to support state and federal legislators on policy efforts that compel exploitive tech to mitigate child harm.

A letter from our CEO

Thank you for visiting. The Better Tech Project (BTP) is a spin-off from Protect Young Eyes, an organization I started in 2015. With BTP, we will double-down on student wellness and work directly with young people to find better tech solutions. You can read my personal story at PYE.
